Angelo Sita

Angelo Sita was born in St. Louis and he has a lifelong passion for everything Italian.  He has received awards from many Italian organizations and served on many boards.  He received the Dipoloma d’Honore from the Comitato Tricolore per Gli Italiani Nel Mondo.  In 1987 he was instrumental in establishing a Sister City pairing between St. Louis and Bologna.  He was National President of UNICO National, one of three national Italian American organizations in the USA.  In 2008 and 2017, he was elected to the Commites, which represents Italian citizens  with the Republic of Italy.  Recently he facilitated a cultural exchange between the Archdiocese of Monreale, Sicily and the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
In 1993, he was the primary organizer of the Sicilian Cultural Association and served as the first president.  Over the years he has held many offices and served on many committees of the SCA.
