I have always been proud of my Italian Heritage. My father's family came to the USA in the 1920’s from Casteltermini , Agrigento Sicily. My Grandmother Vincenza and Grandfather Vincenzo owned and lived in a house at 5135 Shaw , immediately to the east abutting the now closed Viviano’s Market. My mother was born in Vigo di Ton near Italian Dolomites. My mom and grandparents immigrated to the USA in 1936. My mother and her family lived on the 5200 block of Pattinson Avenue. My mother Ann Marie Marcolla met and married my dad Frank Mario (Chick ) Severino. I have 4 brothers: Frank, Chris , Larry and Rick. My mother, father, and all of my immediate family were very fortunate to have settled on the “The Hill” in St. Louis , Missouri America’s last little Italy, which is anchored by the St. Ambrose Catholic Church and School. My wife Debbie (Puricelli) also has roots in Italy. Her grandparents were born in the surrounding areas of Milan in the towns of Cugiono and Boffalora Sopra Ticino. My wife Debbie and I have one son, Steve L. Severino.
